A national partnership will drive greater innovation in film and television.
Producentforeningen and Filmby Aarhus are launching Re:Frame — a new national innovation initiative for the film and TV industry. With a budget of 2 million Danish Kroner, the project aims to strengthen the framework for innovation in the industry through development of new content, new production methods, new business models, and new ways of reaching audiences.
Re:Frame has been developed in collaboration with The Danish Film Institute, DR, TV 2, Creative Viborg, FilmFyn, and Den Vestdanske Filmpulje, bringing together key stakeholders from across the film and TV value chain in a shared national effort to drive innovation.
The initiative is made to strengthen the conditions for innovation by creating space for experimenting, improving access to knowledge and expertise, encouraging collaboration around emerging technologies, and fostering stronger partnerships across the industry.
From Ideas to Action: Labs, Workshops and Collaboration
Re:Frame brings the ambitions to life through a series of concrete initiatives designed to make innovation tangible, accessible, and relevant across the entire film and TV industry. The initiative will include, among other things:
- Innovation labs where producers, creatives and emerging players can experiment, collaborate, and test new ideas and projects in partnership with broadcasters, film funds, and other industry stakeholders.
- Workshops and masterclasses providing hands-on experience with new formats, production methods, audience strategies and business models.
- AI and technology programmes where participants work with new tools across development, production, and post-production.
- Matchmaking and networking activities that connect smaller and larger industry stakeholders and foster collaboration across the sector.
- Industry meetings and knowledge-sharing where experiences, case studies and practical solutions are exchanged.
