AARHUS FILM DAYS

Filmby Aarhus is the initiator of the film festival AARHUS FILM DAYS. The film festival is three days for all film enthusiasts. The festival particularly emphasizes films that have social and cultural relevance, resonating with society and inspiring conversation and debate.

    AARHUS FILM DAYS is created in collaboration with Øst for Paradis and the Danish Film School. Øst for Paradis serves as the backdrop for the comprehensive and inspiring festival, featuring talks, film screenings, and premieres.

    Join us for the first edition of AARHUS FILM DAYS, which takes place from October 27th to 29th 2023. The program will consist of screenings and premieres of Danish and international films, including screenings of the nominees for The Nordic Council Film Prize, and talks with the people behind the movies. The nominees for The Nordic Council Film Prize are:

    • Denmark: VIFTEN (english: EMPIRE)
    • Finland: KUPLA (english: BUBBLE)
    • Greenland: ALANNGUT KILLINGANNI (english: THE EDGE OF THE SHADOWS)
    • Iceland: Á FERÐ MEÐ MÖMMU (english: DRIVING MUM)
    • Norway: KRIGSSEILEREN (english: WAR SAILOR)
    • Sweden: MOTSTÅNDAREN (english: OPPONENT)

    The ticket sales for AARHUS FILM DAYS will open during autumn as the program is announced.

    AARHUS FILM DAYS 2024 runs from October 25. - 27.
