Filmby Aarhus have developed and will offer, in co-operation with University of Hertfordshire and VIA University College, two Masterclasses for professionals within the digital visual industry and people of other professions with an interest of the industry. The activity is a part of the EU-project Create Converge, which collects high expertise within the digital visual industry from countries around the Northern Sea.
In the beginning of January, the first steps were taken. Professor Richardson and research fellow David Tree from University of Hertfordshire visited VIA University College and Filmby Aarhus to plan the joint activities that will take place during Aarhus 2017.

University of Hertfordshire have a strong research department and distinguish themselves through their own productions and strong studio productions. The same goes for VIA Multiplatform Storytelling and Production.

Masterclasses about virtual reality and projection of digital visual content

Two Masterclasses are in the making. One of them will focus on virtual reality and its opportunities to apply it in other contexts than pure entertainment. The other will most likely be focusing on the use of digital visual content in the fashion industry through projection of content on buildings and other facades.

The target group for the two masterclasses are both professionals within the digital visual industry as well as stakeholders from other industries who wishes to be inspired to how, for example, virtual reality can innovate their organization and business.

When?

The two masterclasses are scheduled to be the 20th of April 2017. The final time and place will be announced shortly.

Aarhus Walks on Water

Hertfordshire are also collaborator on the excited Aarhus 2017 project, “Aarhus Walks on Water”, which is a collaboration between several partners in the Central Denmark Region and is a so-called “Aarhus 2017 Commissioned Event”, established in collaboration with Filmby Aarhus.

The event is presented by Aarhus University, VIA University College, Headstart Fashion, Silkeborg Produktionshøjskole and Filmby Aarhus.

Aarhus Walks on Water is a fashion show on a floating catwalk in Aarhus’ harbor, where digital scenography sets the scene when Europe’s most talented young fashion designers and developers showcase their collections of technology-enhanced clothing and accessories – an example of projecting digital visual content during a non-digital event.

The amazing fashion show will take place on Saturday the 16th 2017 at 08:00 pm.
